Experiment 3 - Article Mash-up

The city has a uniquely expressive urban landmark that reinterprets and reinvigorates its location. The architectural ambition of the project is to create a building that respects the neighbouring buildings and surrounding area. Breaking down the scale of typical singular tower residential development, the community- based solution of Sky Habitat is a three-dimensional matrix of homes with private terraces, balconies, and common gardens, bringing landscape into the air and maintaining porosity on the skyline. The design of the building will respect the characteristics specified for various spaces with different types of activities. Private and public spaces will be provided with natural light and direct views to the outside.

Experiment 2 - Applying the texture

Rain pattern as organic form intersperse the pathway. Because of its light, it might reduce the pressure when students and teachers are in the trains.

This pattern is to create the circulation to lead people walk into the school. the clean and powerful line encourage the students to follow their dreams.

The flower pattern create the strength which minds people that there is a rails station. The organic forms reflects the ideal of Alvar Aalto which use natural organic forms.

The ultimate goal of the architect is to create a paradise (Alvar aalto)

The very essence of architecture consists of a variety and development reminiscent of natural organic life(Alvar Aalto).

The stronger identity, the more it imprisons, the more it resists expansion, interpretation, renewal, contradiction (Koolhass)

Experiment 2 - 12 Axonometrics

Fragmentation used to reduce impact – divide the building into smaller pieces and arrange them so the building cannot be seen as a whole from any point of view (Koolhass)

‘Big-ness’ - dismiss scale and proportion as no longer applicable to contemporary architecture.(Koolhass)

The unbuilt is the fantasy that underlies everything(Koolhass)

Revolutionised the way architects look at program and interaction with space. (Koolhass)

Create a sense of warmth and humanity as opposed to sheer function.(Alvar aalto)

Building art is a synthesis of life in materialised form. We should try to bring in under the same hat not a splintered way of thinking. But all in harmony together. (Alvar aalto)
